When someone asks Who you are, you may tell them things like your name
and a couple of things about you. You may start telling them your name, where
you work, who you are married to, where you live...etc, but deep down who are
you??
The Bible talks a lot about our identity and who we are. A couple of
passages I encourage you to read is Psalm 139 and Ephesians 1-2, and when
you read those passages circle what God says about you. Just keep in mind
about what God says about who you are when the world tells you different.
Our identity doesn’t come from our brokenness or what we have done in the
past, our identity comes from God. You are who God says you are not what the
world says, or what you see on Social Media. When God created the world He put
everything in its perfect spot and He even knew that this world needed you in it
too.
PS: Here are some song recommendations: "Who You Say I Am" by Hillsong, "Hello My Name Is" by Matthew West, and "No longer Slaves" by Bethel.
