Jesus Is In The Flood!

Woot! Woot! Welcome to another Bible Blog Kingdom Sisters & Brothers! In today's Bible Blog we are going back to the beginning! Back to the Ark! Yes, you guessed it, we are going to read about Noah in the Ark! I’m sure you are picturing a children's Bible filled with cartoon pictures of Noah & the Ark (I am at least ha ha.) Alright, let’s get into it, get deep into it! You might just want to take notes, because this famous Bible story is going to reveal JESUS! It’s more than just a story about a man that walked with God, animals, & a flood.

Grab your Bible & your coffee (mine is a black iced coffee.) Don’t worry if you don’t have the coffee, remember it's just for a cozy vibe! ;)

Read Genesis 8:8-12 then come back to this blog! :)

Put on your Jesus glasses! ;) We are going to read this chapter through the lens Christ Crucified (Side note when you read the Bible always read it through the lens Christ Crucified.)

Let’s talk about the symbolism! This is SO cool! :)

  • The dove that Noah sent out represents the Holy Spirit. The job of the dove was to let Noah know what was going on outside of the ark. Today the Holy Spirit roams the Earth, communicating with the Father and Son sharing his feelings about what is happening in this world.

  • The olive branch is a beautiful picture of peace and a picture of Jesus the Anointed one. Jesus is our peace.

  • The famous ark represents… JESUS!

  • The window the dove flew out of… is the side Jesus was pierced on the cross!

  • The waters represent two things... The judgement of the world and water baptism (both killing the old man.)

  • Noah waited 7 days the number 7 means perfection and Day 8 represents a new day.

Isn’t that cool! Woot! Woot! I wanted to share that with you and encourage you to start reading the Bible through the lens Christ Crucified. It’s a game changer & it will help you fall in love with Jesus even more. Let me know if you would like more of these kinds of Bible Blogs! Have a great week Kingdom Sisters & Brothers!
