Faithful in the FIRE: Finding Favor in the Flames!

This blog is for the Kingdom Sister or Brother going through a blazing furnace, feeling the flames of pressure heating up in your current circumstance.

Grab your Bible, and dive into Daniel 3!

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stayed faithful to God, even while feeling the heat—literally! They were under pressure to bow down to a gold statue whenever they heard the sound of musical instruments, or else face the blazing furnace (Daniel 3:4-6).

Now, they weren’t just anybody—they were in charge of the province of Babylon (Daniel 3:12). But having a fancy title didn’t exempt them from pressure.

Regardless of your worldly position, you have two choices: you can either stay faithful to God, trusting that He’ll bring you out of the fire unscorched, or you can stay in that blazing furnace, letting the heat consume you.

Which one do you choose?

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego chose to stay faithful. When the music played, they refused to bow to that golden statue.

They stood firm with two feet planted in faith. But let’s be real—when we’re in the fire, it’s easy to be one foot in, one foot out. One day, we’re all in, saying, "God, I trust You." The next day, we're overthinking this whole faith thing because the heat is just too intense.

Right now, where are your feet? Are both grounded in faith? Or is one foot in and one foot out?

These three men told Nebuchadnezzar, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if He doesn't, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up" (Daniel 3:17-18).

Go, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! Woot woot! They stood firm in their faith. That took some serious FAITH! Even if God didn’t rescue them, they were still gonna stay faithful.

Wow! That’s the kind of faith I want! How about you?

Nebuchadnezzar was *lit*! He commanded that the furnace be heated SEVEN times hotter than usual (Daniel 3:19). THAT’S HOT!

The boys were thrown into the fire fully dressed, and the flames were so intense that they killed the soldiers who threw them in.

BUT GOD!!!!! God showed up and showed out! Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and saw FOUR men, unbound, walking in the fire, unharmed! That fourth person? GOD was in the fire with them! Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out untouched—not even smelling like smoke!

GOD SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT!!!!

GOD GOT THE GLORY!

GOD PROVIDED!

Stick with God! The pressure might get hot, but know this—you won’t get burned! God’s got you, and that’s not just a cute saying. If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you are Kingdom! He’s got you! He’s watching out for His children! You are blood-related and covered in the best blood ever—the blood of Jesus! Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walked out of that fire with favor!

"Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher positions in the province of Babylon." (Daniel 3:30)

Embrace the fire! Be faithful! Maybe the pressure is God preparing you for something greater! There is FAVOR IN THE FIRE!!!!
