(This is Part 2 out of 3)
It's meant to be! You tell the wedding lady to put the crown in the bag with the dress! Four months later, you marry the man of your dreams!
Three years go by your husband is working late hours at work! You find yourself alone every night! You understand because he's trying to make a partner at his company! One night you decided to go out get a strong cup of coffee. This way, you can wait up
for him! Walking out of the coffee shop, you notice a man that looks like your husband across the street! It is him! You get excited! Walking up to him, you see he's holding a girl's hand and kisses her!
Here we go again! You tell yourself! You're happily ever after ended in a messy, ugly divorce! As your packing your boxes to move, you put your wedding crown in the box with the kid and prom crown.
THIS TIME...
You find yourself alone on your apartment floor, unpacking boxes! You look at the crown box just as you were about to open the box and sulk a big book with metallic pages on the side catches your eye! It's your Bible! You get a gut feeling that you need to open it and spend time with Jesus! You open it and see the scripture 1 Peter 3:3-4
"Do not let you adorning be external the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."
It's like God took a highlighter and highlighted this verse for you! You can't stop reading it! God is teaching you not to give so much attention to your outward appearance (CROWNS) that you neglect the beauty of your heart!
Then you flip to Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you." declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
God is speaking to your spirit I still have a plan for your life! A great plan! One that you don't need to wear a crown!
Then you flip to John 3:16
"For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
This time the presence of God overtakes you, and God whispers to you, I love you, and you will always be my princess!
After this encounter with God, you make it a habit to be in the word every day! Seeking more of who you are in God!
Two years pass!
