Do you remember when you were a little girl? Remember being brave and fearless? Having HUGE crazy dreams running up to your mom and telling her I'm going to be a princess when I grow up! In your heart, you believed it!
You wore that princess crown, mom's high heels, and a princess dress your parents purchased for you in the toy department every day. You convinced yourself you were a real princess!
Then maybe someone close to you told you how silly you looked parading, around like a princess. So you slowly started taking off that princess crown stuck it in a box. Gave your mom back her high heels, and put your princess dress tucked away in the closet. Now you let others convince you that you could never be a princess.
Years go by its High School Prom! You go shopping out of town with your mom and girlfriends to pick out the perfect dress! I mean, you have to make sure no one else has the same dress as you! Favor of God, you find the perfect pink dress that fits just right! You purchase it! Now the only problem is that you have a month left until prom! So you book your hair and makeup appointment! You get on Pinterest every night finding the right hairstyle and makeup look. You try your pink dress on every night visualizing, how beautiful the night will be!
It's Prom night finally! You look like you just stepped out of a fashion magazine! Surprise they announce your name! You just got Prom Queen walking your runway to the stage and get a sparkly crown. As your on stage, you spot your best friend making out with your prom date, and you overhear some girls talking, "I can't believe she got the crown!"
You storm out of prom with tears down your cheeks, looking like a raccoon from all the
mascara! You make it back home, take the crown off your head and stick it in the same box where your kid crown is!
You tell yourself I will never be a princess!
Years go by, you graduated from college and found the man of your dreams! Wedding bells are ringing!
You grab your mom and girlfriends and head out of town to find the perfect wedding dress! You come out of the dressing room you're mom, girlfriends, and wedding lady have tears in their eyes! THAT'S THE DRESS! Then the wedding lady comes up behind you and places a sparkly crown on your head, and say's "you look like a beautiful princess!"
Awe how, you have longed for those words!
